Terry was born in Michigan to Grace Beegle on July 18, 1953. Grace later married Robert Inman. Robert, his son- Doug, Grace and Terry made their family home in Indiana. At age 17, Terry joined the Coast Guard. His first duty station after boot camp was Neah Bay, WA, where he met the love of his life, Shirley Hull of Clallam Bay.
On July 7, 1973, Terry and Shirley were married in Clallam Bay surrounded by their families and friends. They would spend the next 50 years together and in conversations he would always refer to Shirley as "his bride." In July of 1974 they welcomed their baby girl, Rosalie. Terry's career took his family from Washington to Long Beach, CA and then to Cape Blanco, OR, where they welcomed their son Erick in October of 1977. Over the next 10 years the Coast Guard sent Terry and his family to Seneca Falls, NY, Milwaukee, WI, Treasure Island, CA, Seward, AK and then back to Washington. In 1987, they established their permanent home in Kingston, WA. Terry had two more duty stations before his retirement as Senior Chief Machinery Technician (MKCS) in 1993. After his retirement from the Coast Guard, Terry worked for Kitsap County, in sales and within the insurance industry.
Terry always loved his motorcycles. He and Shirley were very active in Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter B in Bremerton. They also started Chapter U for the Upper Kitsap Peninsula. They made many friends, loved all lengths of rides and enjoyed charity fundraising runs as well.
Hunting was another love of Terry's. He hunted deer and elk in Washington and wild boars in Texas. Gun collecting and going to shows was something he really loved.
Terry was a social man who loved his family, friends and friends who became family. If you needed help or support you could count on him. From fundraising, giving you a ride, flipping burgers or just showing up he would be there for you. He always remembered people's names, birthdays, and stories. You always knew he cared.
All in all, he lived a good life full of family, friends, and adventure. We will miss you Terry.
