Ruby Dawn Blake

Ruby Dawn Blake entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2024 at the age of 57. She was born in Tacoma, Washington to the late Robert D. and Helen C. (Jerkey) Lane on October 23, 1966. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lane.

Ruby, lovingly known as "Aunt B," gained her reputation as a crafty firecracker. She enjoyed doing crafts of all sorts and stood her ground. She was known for her love of white tigers and always willing to help others before herself. She enjoyed the little things in life and her peace can be found sitting around a fire late at night and rescuing animals, which she loved and adored.

She leaves behind a legacy and selflessness that no one can fulfill. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 1/2 years, David Blake; her children, Stephine and David "DJ" Blake; sister, Helen Lane; her fur babies: Dakota, Cooper, Jet, Lily, Shadow, Winnie, and Peanut Butter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family invites you to join them as they remember and honor her life with a visitation on Monday, July 22, 2024 with a visitation from 1pm-5pm at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
