He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bremerton at the age of 60. A lifelong resident of Bremerton, he attended Our Lady Star of the Sea grade school and graduated from Bremerton High School. He served in the US Air Force and worked as a caregiver in his adult years.
Roger has been a member of the Baha’i Faith for over thirty years. He was kind and generous of spirit and remained patient, loving and forgiving through the many challenges he faced on this earthly plane. Some of his favorite things were (The Original) Star Trek, breakfast at the Pancake House, Christmas, cats and pink champagne cake. He was a lover of all sports (except golf!), word search puzzles and was a dedicated “Jeopardy” fan. He could usually outdo any contestant on the show as he had an encyclopedic memory especially for history and sports.
He is survived by his sisters Therese (Kevin) Lewis and Barbara (David) Lloyd and their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Wilbur, mother Patricia and nephew Alan Lloyd.
A private graveside service was held on April 21st at Miller Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family is most grateful for the many caregivers at Comfort Keepers who supported and cared for Roger, and the wonderful people at Kitsap Way Pancake House for their kindness. Roger appreciated all of you.
