Rachel Pinneo was born March 3, 1921 in Cerro Gordo, Ill. and died Dec. 27, 2012 at Harrision Hospital in Bremerton. She was one of seven children born to Lena and Arthur Lamb. She completed her RN training at St. Joseph's Nursing School in Bloomington, Ill. and worked as a surgical nurse at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She married Adelbert Pinneo in 1952. Rae's passion were her family and friends. She was renowned for her pie baking and sewing and knit-ting skills. She stayed active in her community by sewing dolls and making gift tags for Children's Orthopedic Hospital. As a member of Delta Chi Sigma, she raised money for various local charities.
Rae is survived by her son, Charles (Rose) Pinneo; triplet
daughters, Gale Lupton, Barbara "Bo" Ruch, and Mary (Gus)
Allmann; grand-children, Ben, Kevin, Emily, Bridget, Katie, Kelly and Elliott. Rae is survived by siblings, Ruth Schold, Marge Sullivan and Walter Lamb. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Johnnie Foster, Gene Lamb, and John Lamb.
She was a tremendous example of humility, humor, generosity and tenacity. She was a great lady who will be missed but never forgot-ten. Until we meet again Mom, you were loved. Services are Dec. 30, 2012 at noon at Miller Woodlawn, Bremerton.
