Myrna Balolong Walker was born in the Philippines on July 5, 1953 and passed away at age 69 on April 16, 2023 in Poulsbo, WA. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; they were happily married for 34 years until his death in 2013. Myrna is survived by her daughter Janelle, and son, Johnnie (wife, Francine; daughters Elianna, Brooklyn and Amara). The Walker girls will forever miss their Lola.
Myrna was one of the most joyous, stylish, and lively women. She was always the best dressed in the room & you would never catch her without her favorite color nails done, deep red. Proud of her Filipino heritage, she visited the islands as much as she could. There was never a shortage of food, cards, and karaoke when Myrna was throwing the party. In true Filipino fashion, she was always ready to feed you– whether it was her kaldereta, sinigang, or adobo; Myrna was a fantastic cook. The Walker home was always filled with love, laughter, music, and mahjong when Myrna was present. She was truly the life of the party, and not just in her home- she could have the best time shopping, growing plants, and visiting the casino with the ladies. Myrna found happiness and fulfillment every day and anywhere.
She was a wonderful and the most loving wife, mother/grandmother, aunt, and the dearest friend. She was deeply loved and cherished by Johnnie, Janelle and all who knew her.
The Walker Family want to thank everyone who has offered any type of support. It has not gone unnoticed and is most appreciated. Thank you.
