Kenneth Eugene Roberts

Kenneth E. Roberts (Honest Oral) Born 1935 and raised in the Manette area graduated from Bremerton High School in 1953. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 as a Radio Operator. In 1957 he married Secundina (Emma) Liligan. In 1964 Ken volunteered for the Military Assistance Command Vietnam as an advisor. He served on a MACV team training South Vietnamese Army Units and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge along with the Army Commendation Medal for his Vietnam Service 1964-65. He retired from the Army in 1976 as a Master Sergeant.

In 1976 Ken was hired by the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office assigned to the Jail. Ken also served with the Bremerton Police Department as a Reserve Officer and worked part time in the old Bremerton Jail from 1976 to 1986. He retired from the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division in 2002 as a Sergeant. He then served Kitsap County another 10 years 2003 - 2013 as a Court House Security Officer.

Ken is survived by his wife Emma of 67 years; stepson Luis Liligan (Amelda); sisters Bett and Mary, and Niece Debbie as well as many other loved ones and friends.
