Jon Craig Castle, 76, of Bremerton, WA, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love and support of his family, on April 22, 2024.
Jon was born in Seattle, WA, in 1948 to Marian and Vernon Castle. He was the oldest of five children. Jon was raised in Bremerton and graduated from West High in 1966. After graduation, Jon was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam.
Jon was married to Kathryn (Gordon) in 1978. In 1981, they welcomed a daughter, Julie (Mirth).
Jon was passionate about boating and loved exploring the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. He shared his love of the water with his family. Jon enjoyed weekend boat trips and summer sailing in the San Juan's. Jon was most happy when he was on the water. Roche Harbor, WA, and Port Browning, BC, were some of his favorite places to visit on the boat.
Jon is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy; daughter Julie Mirth (Michael); and three grandchildren: Makayla, Evan, and Hannah.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 8, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Kitsap Conference Center.
