James G. Krein, 87, of Bremerton, WA. died on May 31,2023. He was born on March 20, 1936, in Hazen, ND. to Gus and Ida Krein. Jim grew up and attended school in Tacoma, WA. In 1954 he graduated from Stadium High School. He attended the University of Washington and in 1963 graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. On September 13, 1971, he married Janie Taylor in Bremerton, WA. After Janie’s death on Oct.9, 2000. James remarried Sieglinde Manns in Lynwood, WA. January 6, 2002. Jim was an engineering supervisor for the Bremerton shipyard where he worked for 30 years. After his retirement he drove a school bus for the Bremerton School District for six and a half years. Jim enjoyed working on his house, spending time with his dogs, and traveling in his motorhome. Jim was a member of Peninsula Bible Fellowship. Survivors include his wife Linda, his children Bill, Brenda, Mike, and Kevin, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled for August. Memorial donations can be made to Royal Family Kids Camp or Children of the Nations.
