Gary was a very brave soul. He served his country in the Viet Nam conflict & retuned numerous times to fight. We all thank you for your service. May you RIP.

To most I would just be Gary’s barista but to him  I was his friend. I remember when I first started working there I would see him often and on his punch card it said “LOVER” well we had talked a few time and had very great conversations about the military and life and some of our favorite things family included. I just finally had to know what his name was I knew his coffee and I know his life but I didn’t know his name that just didn’t seem right so finally I asked “ by the way what’s your name?!? I’m sure it’s not LOVER” and he replied with “ Gary and what’s yours” and I said meshell and he said so quickly like the BEATLES song and starts singing “meshell my BELLLLL” 

Gary was my friend and if I didn’t see him for a few days I would call to check up on him and he would let me know he was ok “he’ll always be ok” I miss him and I will always miss him wish nothing was better than hearing 
"WASSSUUUP BABBYYYYY" 

He had the most amazing energy and the best heart I feel so lucky to have known him and to have my amazing moment to remember him by ♥️

Gary was super generous and supplied a ton of salmon to our son’s wedding.  He was also a tremendous fishing partner and took no prisoners to getting fish.  He walked for miles with achy knees to go upstream and get a steal head.  A true warrior after he got back from all his tours in Vietnam.  Brave and strong and the best friend you could ever hope for.

Gary would call to talk to Larry and tell me, “thank god I got the good looking one”.  I told him that was great for my ego :) I meant it.  He was a kind and dear friend.
