CALHOUN – Dorothy E. Calhoun, 92, passed away from natural causes on August 23, 2011, in Bremerton. Born in Walterville, OR, Dorothy married Henry Calhoun on April 6, 1947. Dorothy was a member of the Ladies of Elks, and the Tracyton Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed canning the bounty from her garden, her Chihuahuas, travelling, and spending winters in Arizona with her husband. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Millican and Ada Belle (Collins), and her husband Henry Calhoun. She is survived by her sons, Harry Calhoun and his wife Patty, and Bill Calhoun and his wife Diana, both of Bremerton; grandchildren Will Calhoun, Shannon Calhoun, Lindsay Calhoun, also of Bremerton, and Melissa Hays of Oregon. A visitation will be held at Miller-Woodlawn “Chapel on the Hill”, 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, on Monday, August 29, 2011, beginning at 12:30 p.m.. A graveside service will be follow at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5409 Kitsap Way, Bremerton. Tributes may be offered at www.miller-woodlawn.com.
