Dorothy Jean Andrews

She was born September 6th, 1928 in Wenatchee, Washington to Leon and Georgia Smelser. Family later moving to Port Orchard, Washington.

She met and married the love of her life, Curtis Franklin Andrews also of Port Orchard, June 8th, 1947. They were married seventy years.

They moved to Bremerton early in their married life and raised four children. Dorothy worked for the Bremerton Sun around 20 years.

Being very active in their church, Envangel Temple. Dorothy was Sunday School Superintendent which she enjoyed very much.

At retirement, they moved back to Port Orchard and became active in their church, Christian Life Center, serving in various capacities. Traveling and working with Maps Program.

Dorothy is survived by her Sons: Gerald (Linda) and Dean (Nancy), her Daughters: Bonnie (John) Skierski and Lori (Lee) Johnson, eighteen Grandchildren, a quiversful of Great-Grandchildren, and Brothers: Joseph (Bob) Smelser and Herb (Bud) Smelser.

She preceded in death by her Husband, Curtis F. Andrews, and six siblings, Sisters: Ruth McBride, Juanita Lyons and Helen Sipes and Brothers: Walter, Jack and Wayne Smesler.

Memorial Services are August 24th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Christian Life Center Port Orchard. No reception following and Social Distancing will be observed.

The family is so grateful for the many years of love and friendship my parents enjoyed with their church family at Evangel Temple and Christian Life Center.
