October 1, 1949 - July 12, 2020
Dolores Lillian Walker was born on October 1, 1949 in Bremerton, Washington to the late Ernestine Walker. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Crumpton, Mae Simmons, Mildred Wandix, and a brother Billy Lewis. She has one surviving sister, Vera Williams (Leroy).
Dolores was baptized as a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church while fellowshipping with Sinclair Baptist Church due to Mt. Zion's Church remodeling project under the leadership of Pastor, Rev. Sam Rachell Jr. and Rev. Dr. Frankie L. Coleman Sr. the Pastor of Sinclair Baptist Church. She worked for the Lord at Mt. Zion as a Greeter and also handed out church programs.
Dolores (known to family and friends as Lois) was a student at Washington Elementary School, one of the schools in the Bremerton District that no longer exists. It was during this time that she was chose to be the poster child for the March of Dimes. She loved doing word search puzzles, putting puzzles together, making loop rugs and loop wall pictures. She loved to smile and when she laughed her whole body would shake.
Dolores leaves a sister and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that loved and will miss her dearly.
Thank you Forest Ridge Convalescent Center Staff for being there for our beloved Lois.
