David Leo Hintzke, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and Navy Veteran went home to his Lord and Savior on January 5, 2024, at the age 94. David is a retired Navy Veteran with 21 years of service and retired from a private corporation with 20 years of service. He held many other jobs after retirement, i.e., substitute school teacher, insurance collector, sales, and a bus driver.
David is the son of Mabel (Stroup) Hintzke and Theodore John Paul Hintzke. He is survived by his wife, Joan Melisse Hintzke of 73 years, his two daughters, Debra Gelbach (Roger Gelbach) and Dianna Maneval (Lester Maneval), and son John Hintzke (Felicia Hintzke). He has one surviving sister, Mary (Hintzke) Taylor. He is survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
David loved spending time with his family, his pets, with his dog Elsie being the most recent, yard work and bowling.
Visitation will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Bremerton, WA on January 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. for family and friends. The funeral service will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. Burial service, with full military honors, will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA on January 30, 2024 at 11:30 a.m.
