Charlette May Thompson

The beautifully vibrant, Charlette Thompson of Bremerton, WA passed away on June 25, 2023 at the age of 59 from a long battle with cancer that never dulled her spirit. Charlette was born in Bremerton on June 12, 1964, she graduated from Olympic High School, and she then earned an Associate's degree. Charlette moved to New Jersey where she and her husband, the late Perry Thompson, raised their two daughter’s Ashley and Chelsea together until his passing on September 11, 2001 in New York. Charlette persevered and overcame many obstacles. She helped her daughters become two beautiful, strong, resilient young women who radiate their mothers attributes out into the world.

Charlette was active in Emmanuel Church in Bremerton and shared her love of scripture daily with friends and family. She had a laugh that was infectious and filled any room she was in. She had a love for all animals and humans alike spreading caring and compassion wherever she went.

Charlette is survived by her daughters, Ashley and Chelsea Thompson, her Mother Sylvia Payne, brothers Monte Payne, Willard Ross Payne II, Michael Williams, Alan Williams, sister Karla Payne, and childhood best friend Suzanne Tipton.

Charlette was preceded in death by her Father Willard Ross Payne, husband Perry Anthony Thompson, and her twin sister Charlene Payne, and grandmother Virdie Williams.

Family and Friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service at Emmanuel Church on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 11:00 am.
