Betty Sue Foster

Betty Sue (Brown) Foster, 77, Devoted Wife, Mother, and Friend of Bremerton WA passed away peacefully at home on June 1st, 2023 after a long illness, surrounded by her loving and supportive family and friends.

Betty was born on July 13,1945 in Freeman, WV to Arnold Brown and Nancy Ann Elizabeth (Dunagan) Brown. Betty graduated from Bramwell High School, Bramwell WV in 1963.

She married her best friend Samuel F. Foster Jr. of Bluefield, WV on September 1,1967 at the First Baptist Church in Bremerton, WA. Where they made their home of 55 years. Sam and Betty were blessed with two daughters. Nancy Ann Foster of Poulsbo, WA. & Janet Lynn (Kurt) Erwin of Bremerton, WA.

She was involved in many of the girl’s activities and was the mom to all she called her “Foster” Kids. She loved to cook, bake, and had a passion for cake decorating. She was very involved in Girl Scouts with both girls and was the cookie Mom for many years. She also enjoyed camping and traveling.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Father and Mother. She is Survived by her daughters, Nancy and Janet. Son in Law Kurt. Brother- in-Law Jack (Willie) Foster of Ferndale, WA. Niece Leanne, Nephew Bill, Great Nephew Jackson and Great Niece Hannah. Numerous Cousins, Friends and many whom called her mom.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family askes for donations to be made in Betty Sue Foster’s name to The American Heart Association.
