It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Patricia Croley on February 10th, 2017 at the Brantford General Hospital in her 91st year. Loving mother of Elizabeth Ann Thornton, Nadine (John) Mitchell, Peter and Christopher. Beloved grandmother of Spencer, Jonathon, Glendon, Stephen, Rebekah, Aaron, Jade and great-grandmother of Charlie, Marley and Bowen. Predeceased by parents John and Wilma Paterson, brother Donald Paterson and his wife Edra. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Patt served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps. during WWII, was a former telephone operator for Bell Canada and a long-time employee of W. Ross MacDonald School for the Blind where she worked as a Residence Counselor. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Brantford General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Patt’s illness. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHER’S FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West St., on Thursday, February 16th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 17th at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace Street, at 11am. Cremation has taken place. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
