With courage and strength on Thursday March 31st 2011 at the age of 64. Dear son of Henry and the late Jessie. Beloved husband and best friend of Ella. Loving father of Christine and Jamie, Lori and Matthew. Very special papa to Emily and Charlotte. Dear brother of John (Sylvia), Earl (Linda), Frank (Selina), Steven (Mary), Margaret (Terry), Betty (Mike), Rose, Donna (Dave), brother-in-law to Lily and Yvonne, predeceased by an infant sister and two brothers Neil and David. Brother-in-law of Pete and Pat, John and Linda, Hans and Cindy, Gwen, Helen and Adolf, Alice and Tony, Terry, Vera and Spencer, Tina and Roy. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Martin was a long time employee of Cascades Dominion and was a member of the Ex serviceman cribbage league. The family will receive friends at the “ Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street on Sunday April 3rd from 1 to 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Basil’s Church, 50 Palace Street on Monday April 4th 2011 at 11 am. Followed by cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or the Sunshine Foundation would be appreciated.
