Leona Marie Stevens

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday May 6, 2015 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Walter (2008). Cherished mother of Rita (Bill), Diane (Marven), Walter Jr. (Jo-Ann), Brenda (Mervin), Carol (Jo), Roy (Pauline) and Dave. Leona will be greatly missed by 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her grand-daughter Dawn, great grandson Jeremy and great great grand-daughter Jasmine. Survived by 4 sisters and one brother and many nieces and nephews. Leona worked as a housekeeper at the Brantford General Hospital for many years until her retirement.

The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home & Chapel” 96 West Street on Thursday May 7th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Prayer Service in the Chapel on Friday morning at 10:30 am followed by cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
