Quietly passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday October 10, 2015 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Lorna. Loving father of Mike (Denise), Jimmy, Greg (Cindy) and Paula (Steve) Darling. Dear Poppa to Michelle, Paige, Jamie, Nick, Maryanne, Liam, Jake and Jennifer. Dear brother of Josephine, Carmella (Joe), Phyllis (Joe) and many nieces and nephews. John was a long time Ford employee. Special thanks to the staff of the Brantford General Hospital and to the staff of Charlotte Villa.
The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West Street on Wednesday October 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Basil’s Church, 50 Palace Street on Thursday October 15th 2015 at 11:00 am followed by cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Brant or to the Brant Community Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
