James Ronald Wilson

Peacefully at St. Joseph's Long Term Care on January 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Norma Wilson (2016) for 58 years; cherished father of Jeanne Wilson-Rawls (Alan), Karen Decker (Garry, 2022), Diane Carr (John, 2017). Loving Grandfather of Connor and Erin Rawls, Ryan Wilde, Sydne Decker and Bailey and Justin Carr. Dear brother in law of Virginia Penwarden. Predeceased by his brother Claude Wilson (Marie), sister Marie McGrath, sister-in-laws Ruth Brettel (Harry), Elma Hesler (Richard), Elinor Emmons (John) and brother-in-laws Doug Penwarden and Bruce Penwarden (Joan). Jim was an avid curler at the Brant Curling Club, card player and longtime member of the Theta Upsilon Omega Fraternity. Sincere thank you to the team on Chestnut Court at St. Joseph's Long Term Care along with Dr Hadley for the fantastic care and love shown to our dad. You made his most difficult days easier. The family invites relatives and friends to "THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME" on Sunday January 29th, 2023, visitation will take place from 1-3pm, with a service to follow at 3:00pm in the Thorpe Suite. A private family interment will take place at Oakhill Cemetery on Monday.
