Eugene Kokerus

Peacefully in his sleep, Eugene ( Koke ) Kokerus passed away on Wednesday March 25, 2015 in his 95th year; predeceased by his loving wife Helen (Paterson). Dear father of Paul ( Beverley) of Burlington, Janet (Bob) Fularski of Burford, wonderful Grandfather to Kevin (Kelly ), Sarah (Mark), Melissa (John) Hunt and Rob. Great grandfather to Jonathan, Calvin, Clayton and Jack. Gene was a former math teacher at Pauline Johnson. He loved Brantford and the people he met during his involvement in several service clubs. A special thanks to the staff at Tranquility Place, the CCAC support workers for their care over the past several years and Leisureworld.

The family will receive friends at the “ THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West Street on Sunday March 29th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. A Celebration of his life will be held in the chapel on Monday March 30th at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to Ronald McDonald House, Hamilton would be appreciated.
