Mrs. Doris Parsons

Peacefully on Tuesday February 23, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in her 101st year, Doris Parsons. (nee:Crewdson) Cherished mother-in-law of Lorraine. Loving Gramma to Carie (Carl) and Scott (Lorelei). Adored Nana of Jessica, Ryan, and Emilie. Doris will be dearly missed by her nephew and Godson John Crewdson (Sylvia) and also her nephew Tony Crewdson (Jenny) and their families in England. She was a lifelong friend of Violet Gleason and her family. Doris is also survived by sister-in-law Anne Parsons, and many nieces and nephews in both Canada and England. Beloved wife of the late Herbert (1983). Pre-deceased by her dear son Gordon(2006).Also pre-deceased by her 4 sisters and 1 brother, all of England. Doris was a certified nursery nurse, caring for babies and children in a wartime nursery throughout World War 2. She was a life member of “The Brantford Overseas Wives Club, St. Mark’s Anglican Church Ladies Guild and The Dunsdon Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Aux. 461. Memorial visitation at “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service on Saturday February 27th, 2010 at 12 noon at St. Marks Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Drive, Brantford.
