August 20, 1985 to August 27, 2012
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ashley Marie Sabo at the young age of 27.
Ashley is the cherished daughter of Peter and Sharon Sabo and she passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family, near and far away. Precious granddaughter of Emma and the late Melvin Dalton of Brantford, Doreen and the late Victor Sabo of Caledonia and the late Fern and Harold Carpenter, better known as Nana and Baumps to Ashley. Dearly loved niece of Darlene Jewer (Dalton), Kim Jewer, Karen and Greg Alford, Vicki and Leonard Dueker and the late David Sabo. Special cousin and friend to Danielle and Melanie Jewer, Dalton and Jaycee Alford and Brian and Sarah Dueker. Ashley took on her battle with cancer with great courage and her faith in God never wavered. We take great comfort knowing that Ashley is at peace now and in the arms of our loving God. A heartfelt thanks is given to the many caring doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Hospital in Hamilton, the Brantford General Hospital and the C.C.A.C. Bayshore Home Nursing Care, who cared so deeply for our Ashley. A special thank you to Starla Myers for her compassion and friendship to Ashley. Special thanks is also given to Mott Manufacturing for their unending support over the past year. Ashley was a wonderful daughter and a very caring person who touched many lives and she will be sadly missed by her many friends and extended family. Until we meet again Ashley, you will forever be in our hearts and we will treasure the memories with our “boob” and “boopers”.
The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street, on Thursday August 30th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. A private family Mass will be celebrated later. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Hospital, the Sunshine Foundation or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
