William Edmonson

Bill was born on September 2, 1941 in Hopewell, Pennsylvania to Richard and Verna Edmonson. His family relocated to Buffalo, New York in 1948 where he met and married his loving wife of 61 years, Pat (Hansen). Bill and Pat moved to Tampa, FL in 1961. Bill began working with his Uncle in the A/C & Heating business. Bill would later own and operate Climate Control A/C & Heating. After several years in the A/C & Heating industry, Bill and longtime friend Henry Robertson, joined forces to start Robertson Electric and A/C. As both families grew, Bill and Henry would create separate businesses in support of each other's families. This gave way to the birth of Edmonson Electric Inc. After decades serving the Tampa Bay Area, Bill and Pat retired to Crystal River, FL in 1999.

From an early age, Bill enjoyed working on and racing street rods. This became a lifelong passion and upon retirement he began building show cars and traveling across the U.S. with his wife Pat, exhibiting and entering shows. Along with his affinity for street rods, he was an avid golfer, as well as enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He was active in his church and loved the Lord. Bill’s philanthropic heart was evident in the way he lived and supported his community.

Bill was preceded in death by his father Richard, mother Verna and brother Terry.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patrician, and children Terry (Michele), Kevin, Michele (Brian) and Billy (Tammy), 10 grandchildren, Nina (Alex), Nicolette, Natalia, Noelle, Brandon (Laura), Preston, Zachary (Brittany), Taylor, Riley and Matthew and 2 great grandchildren, Addison and Jared.

Celebration of life will be held at Grace Family Church (Land O’Lakes Campus)
