William Cox

William Arthur Cox ("Bill"), age 95, dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Tampa, Florida passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 with his family by his side. William was born to Horace and Floretta Cox in Bushnell, FL. As a young man, William joined the US Navy in 1944 and served as first Quartermaster on the USS AO Pawkatuck.

William worked for Tampa Electric Company as General Foreman retiring after 34 years. He was a strong, highly respected and capable leader amongst his employees.

William was very blessed with a loving family. He was married to Rosina Lou, his beautiful wife for 71 years. They were blessed with two wonderful children, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. They brought him so much joy and happiness.

William is survived by his loving wife, Rosina Lou, their children, Lou Ann and Roger (Carol), one granddaughter, Rosina (Tim) Preston, and one great granddaughter, Abigail. William is also survived by three sisters, 10 nieces and 11 nephews. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Internment will follow at Garden of Memories.
