HOBAN, Sheila Ann, 52, of Tampa Florida died peacefully with her family at her side on Oct 4th, 2015. Sheila was born in Omaha, Nebraska September 10th, 1963 to the young proud newlyweds, Thomas and Kathleen Foley Nee Boyle. As the daughter of a father who served 26 years in the Air Force, Sheila resided in Hawaii, Omaha, Nebraska, the Philippines, Tacoma, Washington and Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated from Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia in 1981 and with relentless determination graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, Va. in 1992. Sheila moved from Fairfax to Tampa, Florida in 1993 and worked as an Information Technology Specialists for nearly 23 years at NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in St. Petersburg, Florida. Though relocated in Tampa, she remained a diehard University of Nebraska Cornhusker fan as it always provided that proud connection to her birthplace. Sheila married Robert Hoban on June 11th 1994 and soon followed by the birth of two beautiful daughters, Nicole in 1997 and Megan in 2003. Sheila was a loving mother that had an unparalleled commitment and joy to parenting; she spent every waking moment dedicated to her family. She had many interests and hobbies over the years but nothing brought her more joy than seeing the success and happiness of her children. One of Sheila’s proudest moments was when her oldest daughter graduated from high school in 2015 with honors and was accepted to many universities prior to deciding on the University of Florida. She was frequently involved in and could be found at fundraisers, soccer events, and girl scouting events, band practices, school concerts, school events and much more. Sheila is survived by her husband Robert Hoban and daughters Nicole and Megan of Tampa, Florida; her parents, Thomas and Kathleen Foley of Fairfax, Virginia; her brother, Kevin Foley and his family of Vienna, Virginia; as well as numerous brother and sister in laws, cousins, nephews and nieces.
