Ronald J. Clay, 79, of Valrico, FL passed away June 11, 2022, at James A. Haley, VA, in Tampa, FL. A Vietnam Veteran, Ron was born March 31, 1943, in Willard, OH to Everett Clay and Mary Badcock Clay, who preceded him in death.
He was a devoted husband to his wife Sharon S. Clay, who passed January 9, 2022. He is survived by his daughter Lori A. Welsh, son Joseph P. Janeda, granddaughter Kylee R. Childress and 2 great-grandchildren, Macaylah and Hayden Childress.
Ron’s favorite pastimes included family gatherings, traveling, Corvette’s, his yellow Ford Ranger, and going fast on anything with a motor. He made the Guinness Book of World Records, won Daytona Beach Rat-Hole competition, and ran Ron’s Cycle Supply for 30 years in Brandon, FL.
