In loving memory of Bob, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a loyal brother-in-arms, Green Beret, Airborne Ranger, and Middle East and North Africa Foreign Area Officer, but it was his love and dedication to his family that defined him. His kindness, strength, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew him, and his legacy of love will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Priscilla Ann Ryan (nee Honeycutt), and their three children and families: Vivian Tokar (Brandon) and grandchildren Brady and Evelyn of Anchorage, Alaska; Chris Ryan (Sarah) and grandchildren James and Katherine of Riverview Florida; and Allison Ryan (Greg Walden) and grandson Oliver of Brooklyn, New York.
He is mourned by his siblings, James Perry Ryan (Barbara), Elizabeth Ryan, Anne Ryan, and Daniel Ryan (Dorothy); sisters-and-brothers-in-law, Marietta Preslar (Howard), David Honeycutt, and Laura Honeycutt; 20 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Geneva Ryan and infant sister.
A celebration of life for Bob will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. A graveside service will occur 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 Southwest 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513, with Army honors.
