He was born on December 3, 1947, in Fort Dix, New Jersey to the late Jean and Harold Rainbolt.
Following graduation from Brandon High School, Bob enlisted in the Army and served his country proudly. After his service, Bob worked as a carpenter and then opened two sports bars, Buffalo Bob’s in Gibsonton and White Buffalo in Lakeland.
Bob was known by his friends by his nickname, “Buffalo Bob.” He loved sweets, with his favorites being cheesecake, white powdered donuts, and peanut butter cups.
In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and shooting pool on local leagues, playing poker, reading westerns, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family and friends. Bob was a Girl Scout Dad, volunteered with local youth sports teams, and participated in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.
Bob leaves behind his daughter, Allison (Jimmy) Alvarez Hedrick; former wife, Shirley Rainbolt; and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister Donna Rainbolt.
