He was born on May 22, 1932 in Section, Alabama.
It's my understanding he was born and raised in the State of Alabama. When he was 18 years old he was drafted into the Army. Served during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged after he served his time. Sometime afterwards he worked construction, with his father and brothers.
Eventually he moved to Florida and worked for Mosaic until he retired around 1984. He loved to go fishing, play a good game of golf, watch westerns and watch sports, especially baseball.
I know the kids will miss him making them laugh! Pop would always have some kind of smart alec remarks or humorous thing to say to make them giggly. We can't say enough how truly blessed we are to have been able to have known you for the few short years we had with you! Rest in Peace Pop, we Love and Miss you already!
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Evans; son, Steve Evans; sister, Dale (nee Evans) Wesling; step-sons, John and wife, Caroline Swanson, Timothy Swanson predeceased wife Lynn, Scott and wife, Julie Depledge, Darren and wife, Tina Depledge; three step-grandsons; six step-granddaughters; four step-great-grandsons; eight step-great-granddaughters; one step-great-great-granddaughter; 20 nieces and nephews
