

Providence "Florence" Santillo passed away peacefully, June 26, 2016. She was born of Italian immigrant parents on July 10, 1919, in Clifton NJ, where she graduated high school. During WWII she worked at Western Electric, and after the war she met and married Vincent Santillo, a returning Army Air Corps veteran introduced by her Army brother Salvatore. Flo and Vince moved to Totowa, NJ, where they raised their family and Flo worked at Holiday House mail order business. Later she worked at EBI Medical, retiring in 1992. Flo was active in Holy Angels Church, Little Falls, NJ, especially in the Rosary Society and Women's Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and cook, and she passed on her love of these pastimes to her 4 children. A voracious reader, she could usually be found enjoying a novel on one of her 3 Kindle readers. Married to the love of her life for 66 years, she was a proud and loving matriarch who welcomed all friends as extended family. She is predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Josephine Riccobono, husband Vincent Santillo Sr, brother Richard and sister Adeline. She is survived by brother Sal, her 4 children, Vincent (Angie) Santillo Jr. of Dover, Diane (Walter W Jr.) Jones of Canandaigua, NY, Mark (Marybeth) Santillo of Panama City, and Joy "Quiche" Santillo of Costa Mesa, CA; 6 grandchildren, Dominic (Beth) Santillo, Halo Bontly, Nicolas (Jill) Santillo, Vincent Santillo III, Veronica Santillo, and Cameron Jones; 5 great-grandchildren, Dominic Jr, Kaitlyn, David Vincent, and Francesca Santillo and Rosalind Badger. A visitation will be held 6-8pm, July 1 at Stowers Funeral Home, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, July 2, at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon. Interment will be at a later date with her husband in Florida National Cemetery. Florence was a charitable person, and her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your own favorite charity.
