Patricia Powell

POWELL, Patricia “Kathryn” Elmore, 82, entered into rest October 25, 2011. Kathryn was born in Bradenton, Florida and was married 62 years to the late Maj. Walter H. Powell. She lived her life serving the Lord and raising her family. Kathryn spent 16 years as an Army officer’s wife and 15 years in shoe sales at Scogin’s and Naturalizer. She had been a member of First Baptist Gibsonton and Bell Shoals Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Philip Powell; daughters, Tish Powell Del Negro (John), Sandy Powell Sanz (Chuck) and Susan Powell Henderson; sister, Martha Elmore Sidbury (George); brother, Charles Elmore (Frances); seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Kathryn was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A visitation will take place 6PM-8PM Friday, October 28, 2011 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10AM Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
