Hamilton, Patricia G. “Pepper”, 72, of Tampa passed away peacefully on May 25, 2013. She was born on September 21, 1940 in Washington, DC to John and Winifred Gordon. Pepper was a member of the Women in Travel Organization in Washington, DC. She spent the majority of her career working in the hospitality industry, primarily in the food and beverage sector. Pepper will be lovingly remembered for her generous heart and her ability to light up a room with her terrific sense of humor. She was predeceased by her grandson, Dennis F. Durbin. Survivors include her son, Skip Durbin and wife Stacie; daughter, Ida Durbin (Rich Drury); brothers, Bill “Flash” Gordon, John Gordon, Richard Sponaugle and wife Paula; sister, Kathleen Gomez and husband Paul; grandchildren, Amy Durbin Alicea and husband Miguel Alicea, Marc Johnston and wife Sabrina, Corey Johnston, Taylor Butler and David Green; great-grandchildren, Alysia Durbin, TJ Randle, Jacob Sayid, Nevaeh Neckles, Tatiana Alicea, Christian Durbin, Bryleigh Durbin, Elijah Johnston, and Liam Johnston. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, at 3 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Pepper requested donations be made to her great-grandchildren’s college funds c/o Skip Durbin 4510 Oak Fair Blvd Suite 100 Tampa Florida 33610. Pepper will be deeply missed by all.
