My sympathy and condolences to the family.  Bob and I worked together for several years in aviation.  He always was quick witted and had a smile.  One of his most common sayings, when he was explaining something to you was..."see, the thing about it is".  I'll always remember that among many other very fond memories.  Rest In Peace my friend.

I want to pass my condolences to the family. Bob and I worked in the same office.  I will truly miss my friend, the conversations about family and how proud he was when his grand daughter arrived… Friend rest in peace and you will be dearly missed.

Sox vs Braves game. Bob was hungry so he insisted we walk a mile to eat Jamaican food. When Bob had his mind set on something there was no stopping him. He was a one of a kind. You have touched my heart in so many ways and I will never forget our conversations about the military and life experiences. I will always love and miss you!

My heart is broken and sad for all those who’s heart Bobby has touched throughout his life. I had the privilege of meeting him about 10 years ago and what wonderful times we’ve had since, even up to our last meeting in December of 2022. Bobby was funny, kind, genuine, and true to his family. His stories were filled with excitement and so much history and information. I sat with him many times one on one and shared many feelings about our lives and health. Bobby you will be always in my heart 💜 you will be missed and forever loved. I would be remiss to exclude and quote  Bobby’s verbal trademark. 
“You Know What I Mean?”

To the Perez family,  

My utmost condolences to you all from Benny and myself.  We knew Bobby from his teenage years on Spaulding Ave, in Chicago.  Remember times of convos , laughter with the family on our front steps or theirs.  
Lizz, Ron, magi, kike .  Love you guys and praying for Gods peace.  To you Bobby’s kids,  hold on to those wonderful memories of Bobby and continue His legacy.  Praying for his love would surround you as you grieve.

My niece Meghann said it best my brother Bob was a “difficult guy.” He could hold a grudge like no other and at the same time if you were in his good graces there is nothing he wouldn’t do for you. In my mind he was an enigma. 

The fact that we were only a year and a half in age made us very close growing up. He was the brother that I ran away from home with. Yeah, we were only like nine and ten years old and it was only to the basement and no one ever came looking for us but it was my idea and he went along with it and the couple hours we hid in that dark musty basement I wasn't alone. He was the brother that the night before we planned to ditch school would but out the screw driver so I could dismantle the phone line so our mom wouldn’t get the truancy call from school. He was the brother who actually ate a love note from my now husband (he was our personal note carrier) because he thought our father had seen the note handoff and didn’t want me getting in trouble. He was the brother I worried about during his teenage years when he was hanging with the wrong crowd. He was the brother who came to see me the night before heading to the Air Force (at the age of twenty-one) and said “I told you I’d get my S*** together by the time I was twenty-one.” Yep, he kept that promise. I have missed and will continue to miss this brother. 

The last words I ever said to him were “I love you,” that and these memories will have to make up for the years we were estranged. May he rest in heaven. 

For many years more than the ones we were estranged he was my big brother. The one the whole family was very proud of for his service. We share the same birthday month so there is countless pics of us blowing out candles together celebrating life. I will remember him when I have his favorite Chicago combo that I would have ready for him when he would come home for a visit. He with Patty raised  very 2 independent and wise beyond their yrs kids that I can appreciate are here to make memories and remember good memories of him with. Love ya my brother, and I will make sure to cover those babies in prayer and include the lil nugget. I will make sure they know they have Perez family they can count on. 

Bobby held a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.  I loved him like the brother he was to me.  His heart was huge for family.  I will miss his presence but I know I will see him again in heaven!

I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
