Orville "Oakie" Jane Woodward Young

YOUNG, Orville “Oakie” Jane Woodward, 68, of Seffner, FL passed away at home on Saturday, October 1, 2016. Affectionately known as (Oakie) she was born in Washington, PA on July 8, 1948. She was an LPN for 15 years and also owned Artistic Florist in Tampa for 12 years. Oakie was a parishioner of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was the current President of the Legion of Mary, an Ascribed Member of the Institute of Charity, and worked in the Food Pantry. She was a former Girl Scout, a loving mother, wife, and grandmother and loved animals. She rescued so many animals she renamed her home OakRich Farms. Oakie is survived by her husband Richard Young, who she married on 8/8/88, her children, Matthew Belt (Shelia), Christina Woodward, her step-children, Robin O’Donnell (Richard), Marie Young, and Amanda Young, grandchildren, Nikole Belt, Jessica Williams (Doug), Steven Belt, Andy Caldwell, Riley O’Donnell, Reese O’Donnell, Regan O’Donnell, Ashley Carathanasis, Emily Carathanasis and Ethan Harvill, great-grandchildren, Addison, Emmett, Kaydence, Ryden and nephew Robert Norvell. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Woodward; father, Robert Woodward; uncle, Guy Woodward; sister, Sally Norvell; brother, Anthony Baird and grandson, Keith Belt . A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 10:30 am with family to accept friends 1 hour prior to service at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 4450 County Rd 579, Seffner, FL 33584 with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport, FL.
