Nancy (McIntyre) Cook was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 22, 1939 to Wilbur A. and Ann E. McIntyre. She graduated as Class President from Aubbeenuabbee High School in 1957. She went on to attend college, then married Jack S. Cook in 1960.
For many years she helped run the family electronics business while also raising five children. Nancy was an accomplished pianist and used her gift of music in so many different ways. For many years, Nancy along with her husband Jack followed God’s calling to serve as “Missionaries to America”. They traveled for months at a time sharing God’s love at State Fairs and Churches. Her dedication and commitment to serving God never went unnoticed. Her friends say that she had a “special gift of talking to people”. She often sang the song “What A Day That Will Be When My Jesus I Shall See”. She was ready to meet her Saviour.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Ann McIntyre and her sisters, Sheila Jacobs, Sharon Foster and Micki Kuhn. She is survived by her husband Jack of nearly 60 years and her children Doug Cook, Barbara Thrall, Peggy Force (Tom Force), Laura Smith (Michael Smith), and David Cook. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
For those whose lives were touched by Nancy, you are invited to her Celebration of Life service Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 10AM located at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 from 2-4 PM, then again on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 9-10 AM. Graveside services to follow funeral.
