You cracked me up how you tried to be self-conscious with this picture and didn't want to show it. I apologize to you for making it public, but in light of these events, this picture has become one of the sweetest gifts I've ever gotten. It brings such peace in such a heartbreaking situation. Melissa, I only got to know you for a few months. But what a blessed and sweet time it was!  You were So caring! It was so awesome to get to see you shine!  I'm so grateful I got the chance in your last few months to hear your passion for Jesus in our conversations and gratefulness for the Lord and His salvation in our lives! I just found out that something happened, I was wondering where you were. But now I know exactly where you are and more importantly who you are with! So grateful that I will get to see you again one day sister in Christ! I miss you so much already... Until then my beautiful sweet friend! God bless!

I met Melissa in elementary school, then in our early twenties we were reunited and best of friends ever since.  We lived together on Bayshore Blvd., both of us worked in downtown Tampa.  Melissa worked at Southtrust Bank.  We did everything together.   
Those years are some of best years of my life.   Melissa was the one who introduced me to lifting weights.  I hated going but she would make me, then cook us a delicious meal after.  She is an amazing cook!  We always stayed in touch no matter what was going on in our lives, she never missed a happy birthday wish to me no matter what!!  She was a bright light, her smile would make you smile and brighten up any room like sunshine!  I consider myself lucky to have called her my best friend.  She will be missed dearly and I will cherish our memories forever.  She will always be shining bright on her loved ones! Thank you so much Melissa for being such an amazing true friend!

A beautiful soul is never forgotten. My heart has been shattered into a thousand pieces and I'll always treasure the memories we created together. You always provided sisterly advise, made me laugh, and you were the funniest person ever. I'm sure you recall that incident at Kash n’ Karry, hehe. One day, we’ll be able to laugh about that again.
