Louis Michael Winkler, 81, of The Villages, Florida, went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 3, 2011. A native of Akron, Ohio, he retired after 30 years as an Agent with Nationwide Insurance Company. He was a faithful member of the Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Hungarian Club in Barberton, Ohio. An avid golfer and dancer, his true passion in life was being a father and a grandfather. Louis is survived by 3 sons: Richard (Connie), Louis “Mick” and Jeffrey (Sandy) and 3 daughters: Laura Turzak, Karen (Bill) Reeves and Jody (Kevin) McDougal. He is also survived by his sister Helen Schmidt, as well as 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. with a memorial mass at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. Augustine Church, 204 6th Street Northwest, Barberton, Ohio 44203-2198, (330) 745-0011. The family will continue to receive friends after the mass until 8:30 pm.
