He is survived by his parents, Hopeton and Carmen; his siblings, Hopeton Jr. and Kelly, his in-laws Julie and Joseph, nieces Samantha and Kayla, nephews Ryan and JJ.
He was raised in Jamaica and moved to Florida to pursue his degree at University of Florida in Business Administration. Kurt became an avid Gator football fan, his alma mater.
After graduation, he started his career as a buyer for Dillard's during which he was recognized as top buyer. He transitioned to Bealls Outlet as a buyer where he was able to travel the world and cement his status as one of the best in his field of work with multiple recognitions over the years.
He was kind, funny, generous, considerate, an amazing son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Kurt enjoyed playing all kinds of sports, but his favorite was tennis. He loved to travel the world to see and experience life. He enjoyed entertaining, the finer things in life, and welcoming people in his life. Kurt was an incredible person who touched and enriched the lives of everyone around him in so many ways. He will be tremendously missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him. He lived and enjoyed a full and happy life with great friends and family.
A visitation for Kurt will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon, Brandon FL 33511, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The family is requesting all attendees to please wear a mask and wear cheerful colors to celebrate his life.
