Juan passed away at the age of 70 on April 17th in Brandon, Florida .
He was born on Valentines' day in 1944 in La Bomba de Cenovi, Dominican Republic. He emigrated to the United States in 1962 and built his life in Westbury, New York. He married Arcelia Betances in 1966 with whom he had two children. He was an influencial member of the Hispanic community on Long Island, New York serving as a mentor to many. He worked as a truck driver, having over a million miles driven with no accidents. He was able to fulfill his life's dream to some day returning to his homeland and retired to the Dominican Republic in 2000 where he and his wife enjoyed a wonderful retirement.
Juan is survived by his loving family, his wife of 48 years, Arcelia Alejo and his children: Juan, married to Aurelinda Alejo and their children Rachel, Franchesca and Rafael; Jane, married to Aaron Sierra and their son, Daniel and Jocelyn, married to Johnny Urena and their daughter, Gianna.
He will be joyfully remembered as a beloved Husband, loving Father, doting Grandfather and friend to all.
