SMITH, Jovita C., 84, of Plant City, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was a retired Switchboard Operator from Brandon Regional Hospital and an attendee of First Baptist of Plant City. Jovita loved to fish, cook and crochet and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Edwin Wright (Lisa), Frank Allen Diaz, Phyllis Diaz Chew (Edward) and Jolinda Lunsford (Rick), her sister, Sally Elizabeth Moore (Nathanial), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew, and other family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1 pm with family to accept friends 1 hour prior to service at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon. Burial will follow in Hackney Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation should be made to the American Cancer Society 800-227-2345 in her name.
