Moses, Joseph Simon, 94, of Winter Garden passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2012. He was born on September 8, 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Simon Joseph and Olga Pauline Moses. Joseph retired after 20 years of service from the United States Navy. He was in the original crew of the Saratoga and participated in D-Day off the beaches of Normandy, France. Joseph also retired after 20 years from the Florida Steel and Tampa Tribune. He was a huge Tampa Bay Ray’s fan and he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Cora, parents and brother, Richard Moses. Survivors include his 3 daughters, Beverly Richey, Debbie Henderhan and Patricia Merris (Matthew); 3 grandchildren, Phillip Richey and his family, Shelly Lewis (Joshua), and Steven Henderhan; and 1 great-granddaughter, Elliot Lewis.
