James Ray Blakey, age 84, of Plant City, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday October 18, 2018. James was born August 1, 1934 in Albany, Georgia.
He is survived by his loving wife Irene, son James Raymond and wife (Cheryl), daughter Suzanne Michelle Blakey, grand-daughters Leah Kay, Melissa Rae and Lauren Michelle Blakey-Nielsen. Great-grandchildren Isabella, Bailee, Chloe, Jessalyn and Barrett. He is preceded in death by his son Michael, grandson Anthony "Tony" and great-granddaughter Mikayla.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511, interment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon,.Florida 33511. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
