Hannah Barry lit up the world with love. In her short but bright seven years she touched the lives of so many. She was smart, sharp and a fountain of happiness. She had a glowing sense of humour and spent most of her seven years smiling and laughing.
All who were lucky enough to meet her, fell for her. She charmed all with her infectious smile and bright beautiful brown eyes.
She taught us all about Love, kindness, and hope many times over.
She was the proudest big sister in all the World and her love and charm will live on in little Nora.
As a Daughter, she was perfect, everything we could ever dream of, and we are so thankful that she blessed our lives.
Family was her passion. She loved her Grandparents the way all kids deserve to. Her Cousins were her closest friends and there are many friends around the world who will miss her.
She loved books and stories, movies and playing. Her imagination sent her to wonderous places and it was a joy to travel them with her.
Her happy place was the water, swimming with friends, with her family. Full of laughter and fun and energy.
She loved school and learning and was always curious about the world.
She was a sweet Yorkshire Lass with a gigantic Northern English heart. She travelled and lived in Canada and then Florida and touched hearts the world over.
Through her illness she showed a fierce determination to live as much as she could. You don’t lose a battle with Cancer and you don’t beat Cancer by surviving. You defy Cancer by living and she lived every single day the way she wanted to. With Love, with laughter and full of happiness.
We ask you to grieve for Hannah but do not mourn her for too long. Let her love and light shine bright in your heart and fill your world with kindness. Do good deeds for people. Talk to your neighbours. Be happy and kind and keep Hannah’s spirit with you for long after she has gone.
As well as love she taught us about fear, but she also taught us about bravery and strength, defiance and determination and that is how we will move forward together. Day by Day, one little tiny step at a time.
Night Night sweet little girl, sweet dreams x
