Frank was born on December 17, 1958, to Francisco and Gloria Ferlita in Tampa. After graduating from Jefferson High School in 1976, he went on to study Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida.
After graduation, he landed his first job as an engineer for Hillsborough County Water and Wastewater where he spent the next 35 years until his retirement in June of 2021. After retiring Frank created his own business, Ferlita Consulting, LLC, where he collaborated on projects with Hillsborough County Water and Wastewater.
In February of 1977, he met his wife Suzanne, and they wed in July of 1984, going on to have two daughters, Lauren and Brittany.
While Frank was taken all too soon, he lived a full and wonderful life. He spent his years doing the things he loved, which were listening to music, drinking good wine, and traveling with family and friends. He was blessed to spend 39 years with his wife, watch his children grow, and thanks to God’s grace, meet his beautiful granddaughter, Birdie.
Frank was predeceased by his father, Francisco Ferlita. He is survived by his mother, Gloria Ferlita; his wife, Suzanne Ferlita; his daughters Lauren Breitenbach (Joe) and Brittany Ferlita; granddaughter Birdie Breitenbach; sister, Glorian Weatherly (Ken); niece, Mallory Winter (Derek); and lifelong friend, Steve Jarrett (Becky).
