Evelyn Marie Stephan Nelson

Evelyn Marie Stephan Nelson, 79, of Lakeland, FL went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She was born on January 19, 1933 in Olean, NY to Clair and Hilda Osgood. Evelyn was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Brandon and attended Crestview Baptist Church in Lakeland for the past several years. She enjoyed shopping and taking care of children. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald Stephan, as well as her second husband of 5 years, Len Nelson. Survivors include her sons; Daniel Stephan and his wife, Kathryn and David Stephan and his wife, Laura, daughter; Diane Simpkins and her husband, Sim, brother; Clair Dutch Osgood, sister; Beatrice Ward, and 5 loving grandchildren; Cassandra Rimes, Amanda Stephan, Nicholas Berry, William Stephan and Jacob Stephan. Funeral services will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 11 AM with a viewing an hour prior. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
