Doreen Elaine Fischman

Doreen Elaine Fischman passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. Born July 17, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island, Doreen in 1950 moved with her parents, Kenneth and Bernice Ormrod, to Miami Florida, where she made many lifelong friends. Doreen excelled at every sport she lettered in at Coral Gables High, and was named Outstanding Girl Athlete of Dade County by the University of Miami. Doreen was a lifelong avid horsewoman who enjoyed training and showing horses for many years, particularly her favorites, Paso Finos. Always successful at anything she set her mind to, Doreen spoke fluent Spanish and was a talented watercolor and floral artist. Doreen is survived by her devoted husband Robert, daughter Heather Michael (Thomas), and beloved grandchildren Robert and Sierra. A celebration of life will be held on her birthday, July 17, @ Winthrop Community Clubhouse 6213 Hadley Commons Drive, Riverview, Fl 33578 from 2-5 .
