Daniel Anglin

After a long, hard-fought battle with Lewy body dementia, Daniel Lee Anglin, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2023 at the age of 82, there to be reunited with his precious son Scott, who died in 1989. He leaves behind his wife, Carol Anglin, children Leticia (Floyd) Goble, Daniel Anglin II (Julie)Anglin, Ryan Keith Anglin(Shelley)Anglin, and Catherine Jean Anglin.

Danny was born on February 1, 1941 in Hamilton, Ohio to father John Ruben Anglin and mother Catherine Anna Helmcamp, who pre-deceased him. He enjoyed his position as the youngest of five brothers. He loved growing up in Hamilton with his siblings. His father, whom they called Pop, opened the first used car lot, Anglin Auto Sales, on Erie Boulevard. This is what led him to choose his life long profession as an automobile auctioneer. Pop sent him to auction school when he was just seventeen years old.

Danny married Carol Cearley on June 15, 1963. They began their life together in Fairfield, Ohio before moving to Florida, where they raised their five children. Florida is where Danny would pursue his love of auctioneering full time. He was very successful, winning many awards and teaching auction school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Danny was a teacher of automobile auctioneering, which he enjoyed very much. His sons figured out that he has sold over one million cars in his career.

Danny enjoyed more than 60 years as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, where he held many callings and was an ordained High Priest. When told he had such a beautiful family and wonderful children, he always gave the credit to raising their children in the church and being taught about their Savior Jesus Christ. Danny also loved traveling with his wife and family to discover new and interesting places. In 1986, on one of their many trips, they discovered and fell in love with the north Georgia mountains. This is where they ended up purchasing an adorable cabin which created many fond memories for his family. Danny was truly one of a kind. He was loved by all who met him due to his kind, loving and gentle nature.

Danny is survived by his wife, four children, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
