Carmen Maria Walker went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 4th. She would have been 97 years old this September 13th. She was our precious and selfless Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and servant of the Lord. She was a true servant to our entire family and our spiritual matriarch. Her devotion to the Lord could be seen by all for over 70 years. She will be greatly missed and never replaced, but we know, by the power of Christ’s resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, that she is in the presents of our Lord this very moment! It was her lifelong goal to present the good news of Christ’s cross and resurrection to everyone she met and because of this, we know, she has now heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”
Our celebration of Carmen’s life in the spirit of Christ will be held at King’s Avenue Baptist Church on September 12thfrom 11:30am-12:30pm. We welcome anyone who would like to glory in the light of what Jesus Christ did through our precious Mom and Grandmother.
