At her request no service will be held.
She was born on October 1, 1943 in Puerto Rico to Miguel and Tomasa Figueroa, and is the oldest of eight siblings. Carmen was a devoted and loving military wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a caring daughter and sister. She strongly believed in protecting and investing in children. She taught kindergarten Sunday school and spent multiple decades as a member of Bowling for Kids at Oakfield Lanes in Brandon. She had a passion for needle crafts and collectibles. Raggedy Annes and Andies were her favorites. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society. Besides being a Home Maker, she was a certified cosmetologist and a retail associate.
Carmen was very thankful for her long and good life. She considered herself very lucky and fortunate for all the blessings she had.
She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband, Javier; her two daughters, son, grandchildren and siblings.
